Christopher Wallace

Sicker than your average. The best to ever do it. Fourteen years ago today he was taken. In many ways it seems like just yesterday. To say he inspired a genre of music would be to do him an extreme disservice. He inspired a way of life. He made a generation of youth across all demographics want to pick up a microphone. He was so raw. So real. His voice carried a beat like no one before him, and like no one after him ever will. Every true hiphop fan will forever miss him, and will forever wonder what could have been. His dark and vivid street anthems invited his listeners to share in his experience and in his struggle. He painted masterpieces with his rhymes. The depth of his metaphors and wordplay was astonishing. He was an artist. In its truest form. RIP Christopher Wallace.
