Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Absolutely awesome.

Fresh Kicks

Dominique Wilkins. Michael Chang. Shaq. All rocked them. I mean it is kind of hard to deny how fresh these kicks are, even 20 something years after they first dropped.

Check them out at Sneaker Junkies

Random - MegaRan

This dude has some insane talent.  His beats are sick and he flows like a god, not to mention how innovative he is.  Pure filth.

Random, aka Mega Ran. Teacher, Rapper, Hero. As one of the first independent artists to secure an exclusive licensing agreement with a major videogame developer, Random manages the unthinkable by dazzling retro gamers while garnering respect from Hip-Hop's harshest critics. Random's unique combination of fantasy and introspective hip-hop has found its way into movies, video games, and even coursework at several universities. By day, he is a middle school English teacher. (via MegaRan)

These are a couple of my favorite tracks, but pretty much anything he touches is filthy.

37 Posters Movie Posters

We love good graphic design, we love good typography, and we love good movies. When they all coincide, it creates the kind of awesome that makes you pinch yourself. Think walking into your bedroom and finding Megan Fox in her undies watching ESPN and offering you a pulled pork sandwich. The folks over at 37 Posters have put all three of those things together (the design/movies bit, not Megan Fox and sandwiches) to create a fantastic series of posters that depict a visual icon from the movie filled with the text of great lines from that film. We spent a long time looking at these, and we still can’t pick a favorite. $30

Canadians Are Cool

Filson & Levi’s Denim Cruiser Jacket
When it comes to the upper half of the Canadian tuxedo you have to tread very carefully or else you’ll end up looking like, well, you’re wearing a Canadian tuxedo. No one wants that. Luckily Filson (with Levi’s) spared no expense on the Denim Cruiser Jacket so that shouldn’t be a problem if you play your cards right. The Cruiser Jacket was originally created around 100 years ago so the fit, style, and pockets are just right. Ultimately, when they went denim (which any guy can respect) they ended up with four front pockets and a map pocket built into the back. We don’t have any maps, but we’re sure it’s also good for carrying cylindrical, roughly map sized pieces of glass too so we’re sure you can find some use for it. The 100% heavyweight denim is raw so don’t wear it with light pants or you’ll end up with a case of blue ass. $178

iRetrofone iPhone Docks
This one is for you big baby...
Hanging up on someone just isn’t as satisfying as it used to be. Scratch that. Hanging up on someone isn’t as satisfying as we imagine it would be… if we had any point of reference. Just because we grew up on cellphones and YouTube instead of rotary and Betamax doesn’t mean we can’t get no satisfaction. In this case it’s something as simple as the iRetrofone iPhone Dock. Each iRetrofone is hand-sculpted and hand-cast in urethane resin and is compatible with sync and charge. It comes in a variety of styles ranging from clear to steampunk and also includes bright red if you’re going for that emergency Batphone vibe. Since the handset is fully functional when you dock your iPhone (not included of course), you’re probably going to have to upgrade your plan because this is reason enough to actually talk on the phone. Even if it is just to hang up. $195+
