Cut Copy always has some interesting tracks and with Toro y Moi jumping on this remix this feels nice a smooth NYC lounge jam. Something to just sit back and groove to. Not that I groove all that much, but let's pretend.
There are no words to describe how much I love this band. The lyrics are absolutely unbelievable on nearly every song. Marcus Mumford's voice is so powerful and moving. The band brings such an original sound and passion to their music. If you haven't heard them before we have posted a few songs, but just google them. You will not be disappointed.
By far two of my favorite hip-hop artists of all time. The lyricism of these two is absolutely unbelievable. Jumping on an old school rift with a little DJ mix and a simple hook. This is hip-hop.
"Had explicit experiences that I shouldn't mention, for me getting women turned from sport to addiction, powerful women playing roles of submission, lawyers on leashes, congresswomen inflicting, pain onto my game, wondered if Im sadistic, they liked it, they diked it, devices, twisted, till I get a nice chick to get me on some nice shit, crib, raising kids, slap a door behind a white fence..."
The rhyme scheme. The flow. The delivery. All new hip-hop artists should be forced to study this. Not a club banger with super heavy bass and auto-tuned hooks. Not a commercial track with goofy word play and Katy Perry on the hook. Just straight rhyming. I might just upgrade this to a ten.
Some sick remixes. A little electro heavy for my taste, but these definitely bang. Would love to hear them in a club, loud as hell. Especially that champagne showers mix.
Original and creative sound. Just an interesting approach and video. Here is a little description of the video/song...
Bazooka is a bizarre story about two brothers, a madman artist and a Hollywood pop demon. Bent on rescuing his brother from the blindness of material success the artist sets off on a mission equipped with avocado grenades and a banana bazooka.
