Even speaking of an album in the same breath as those two is the ultimate compliment. The album is an open book of soulful stories, with Lamar vividly describing growing up in the Compton hood. The lyrical content is on another level. It demands multiple listens to even grasp the brilliance of how Kendrick manipulates words and rhyme scheme.
